Twenty five years ago in August 25, 1991 Linux project was launched by its creator programmer Linus Torvalds. From that red-letter day, Linux has become one of the most recognizable and popular operation systems of the world. Although its founder and leading developer didn’t set such an aim at the beginning of the project, it has broken all the records and has suppressed all the expectations; the project has unquestionably come on a supreme level now.
In honor of the 25th anniversary, Linux has made a report saying that more than one thousand companies have added their knowledge into its kernel. Such well-known representative companies as Intel, Red Hat, and Samsung have put in the common business promoting the company’s progress.
For readers interested in the history of the company, a book called ‘Inside Linux’ was written and published by Glyn Moody in 2001. The book contains full-length information about Linux project product’s introduction to the IT world and how the business has become successful.
